Raw materials for glass

We will introduce the raw materials for glass, such as silica sand and calcium, as well as their properties!

Our company imports and sells glass products. We would like to introduce the raw materials and their properties related to glass. "Silica sand" is used to obtain SiO2, which forms the framework of glass. Depending on the type of glass, 60% to 80% of the raw materials are silica sand. Impurities contained in silica sand can sometimes cause discoloration. "Calcium" is used together with sodium in soda-lime glass. Limestone is commonly used, which improves moldability and water resistance. In addition to this, "magnesium" and "zinc oxide" are also used as raw materials for glass. If you are looking for glass products, please feel free to contact us. [Main Raw Materials (Partial)] ■ Silica sand ■ Sodium ■ Calcium ■ Boron oxide ■ Alumina *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
